As part of Rare Disease Day 2026, European Brain Council is organising their annual Rare Brain Disease Ecosystem event. Taking place on 2𝟰 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀, this day will convene experts from research, clinical care, patient advocacy and industry to:

–   Review key regulatory developments shaping rare brain disease policy in Europe
–   Strategies to advance the Rare Brain Disease Ecosystem & develop a comprehensive Knowledge Hub
–   Explore improved care pathways for conditions including Myasthenia Gravis, Neurofibromatosis Type 1 and Childhood Dementia

This is an opportunity to shape a collaborative roadmap that enhances knowledge sharing and builds capacity within the Rare Brain Disease community!

Brain Awareness Week

Brain Awareness Week, organised by the Dana Foundation, is a global campaign dedicated to celebrating the wonders of the brain and the importance of brain science. Each March, organizations and individuals around the world host creative activities to engage the public and highlight how brain research improves our daily lives. Event organizers are universities, hospitals, research centres, schools, advocacy groups that help raise public awareness about brain health and empower communities with knowledge to make informed health choices.
