Highliths of 2017:
I. 7th European Teaching Course on Neurorehabilitation | RoNeuro Brain Days
This event is organized by the Foundation of the Society for the Study of Neuroprotection and Neuroplasticity, together with the Romanian Society of Neurology and “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and is endorsed by the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), World Federation of Neurorehabilitation (WFNR), and European Federation of Neurorehabilitation Societies (EFNRS).
After sixth successful past events, the educational event hosted in Romania, was once again a platform for exchange of updated scientific information as well as teaching oriented workshops. The event reached an audience with an interest in this steadily expanding and exciting field (physicians, nurses, therapists, basic scientists etc.). Among the topics of interest, a special attention was given to the status of neurorehabilitation science and education in Europe, with a glance on future perspectives in this direction.
II. Memorandum of Understanding signed between EAN (SP Neurorehabilitation as proxy) and the European Federation of Neuro-Rehabilitation Societies (EFNR)
Principles of this cooperation:
– To strengthen the collaboration between EFNR and EAN
– To promote EFNR and EAN as leading societies for neurologists and neuro-rehabilitation in Europe and to promote optimal neuro-rehabilitation management for neurological patients in Europe
– Improving availability and quality of educational and scientific endeavors, attracting and growing talent/intellects and creating truly European neurologists and neuro-rehabilitation specialists.
– Best practice guidelines: Joint cooperation with the EAN Scientific Panel “Neuro-rehabilitation” and the writing of joint guidelines.
