The European Huntington Association (EHA), in collaboration with Asociación Española Corea de Huntington, Ligue Huntington Francophone Belge, and the Bulgarian Huntington Association, proudly introduces the Huntington Academy—a comprehensive digital platform designed to enhance care for individuals living with Huntington’s disease (HD).
Developed by a multidisciplinary team including both family members and professionals from Norway, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Sweden, the Huntington Academy addresses the needs of a wide audience, including caregivers and healthcare professionals (HCPs). While not specifically focused on HCPs, the platform offers practical, evidence-informed resources and training that are also valuable for clinical practice. Both informal and formal caregivers—as well as HCPs, particularly those in remote or underserved areas—will find the Academy’s content relevant and supportive in their roles.
The content of the Huntington Academy has been co-created with input from multiple HD organisations and HD experts and reflects the real-world experiences of the HD community, ensuring both relevance and accessibility. Its intuitive design and targeted modules equip users with the knowledge and tools necessary to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to those affected by HD.
This initiative represents a significant advancement in collaborative, community-driven education and underscores the EHA’s commitment to strengthening expertise and coordination throughout the HD community. The Huntington Academy stands as a valuable resource for anyone—caregivers or HCPs—seeking to better understand, manage, and support individuals and families navigating the challenges of Huntington’s disease.
