At the 1st Experimental Primary School of Thessaloniki, our sixth-grade class embarked on an inspiring journey through the Brain Health School Challenge. This initiative offered a unique opportunity to introduce our students to the importance of brain health in a fun, creative, and meaningful way.
Through research, group discussions, and hands-on activities, our students explored the habits that support or harm brain function. They created visual presentations, classified healthy and harmful behaviours, and even composed an original song inspired by a well-known Greek tune to promote brain-friendly choices.
What made this experience truly special was how deeply it engaged our students—not only as learners but also as active health ambassadors. The Brain Health School Challenge encouraged empathy, teamwork, and critical thinking, while giving students the chance to express themselves through music, storytelling, and digital media.
We are proud to have participated in this initiative and grateful for the opportunity to combine health education with creativity and innovation. It was a joyful experience that left a lasting impact on both our students and our school community.
We highly recommend the Brain Health School Challenge to other educators—it is a powerful way to inspire the next generation to care for their minds and their futures.
