We are very pleased to announce the results of the EAN Scientific and Coordinating Panels’ Management Group Elections for the 2026–2028 term. This election marks an important milestone for the EAN, as for the first time the elections for the Scientific Panels and the Coordinating Panels were held jointly.
The election process once again demonstrated the strong engagement of EAN members, and the newly appointed management group members represent 34 countries.
We are delighted to report an excellent gender balance within the newly elected panels’ leadership. Among the co-chairs, representation is perfectly balanced, with 32 male and 32 female neurologists. Similarly, the management group members show near parity, with 44 male and 46 female members.
All eligible panel members were invited to participate in a confidential online voting process. As in previous election cycles, the final appointments were confirmed by the EAN Scientific Committee and the EAN Board.
In line with the EAN’s strategic vision, the Scientific and Coordinating Panels continue to actively involve RRFS Representatives and partner society representatives within their management groups.
We look forward with great anticipation to the projects, activities, and innovations that will be developed by the newly elected management groups during the 2026–2028 term.
