Join us for an engaging workshop where you will step into the role of a Task Force member working on the development of an EAN clinical guideline!
The EAN Guideline Production Group invites members of the EAN Scientific Panels, individual EAN members, and members of Guideline Task Forces to participate in the EAN Guideline Workshop on Friday, 26 June 2026, from 12:00 to 18:00 CEST, which will be held in person in Geneva, Switzerland.
Clinical practice guidelines play a key role for the neurological community, and their development is one of the core responsibilities of the EAN. During this interactive workshop, participants will take part in the different stages of guideline development. You will contribute to forming a Task Force, defining the key clinical questions (PICOs), critically appraising and contextualising the available evidence, and formulating recommendations regarding the use of these monoclonal antibodies.
Led by experienced EAN guideline developers, the workshop will guide participants through the entire guideline development process, using one high-quality guideline as a reference. In addition to providing practical skills and knowledge, the workshop will also address common challenges encountered during guideline development.
The programme will combine short theoretical lectures on key topics with collaborative small-group work and discussions. Each group will present their results, followed by a general discussion with all participants. By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained an understanding of the main steps involved in guideline production and developed practical skills to contribute to this process. The workshop is intended for participants with introductory to intermediate experience.
This workshop offers a concise yet comprehensive overview of the guideline development process, focusing on the following topics:
• Task Force composition
• Construction of PICOs
• Development of evidence profiles
• Evidence-to-Decision process
• Development of recommendations
