The 18th course of the Spring School attracted attention of 187 colleagues from 36 countries. Due to the capacity reasons we were forced to refuse one third of the applicants. Traditionally the highest interest was from Russia – 29, Uzbekistan - 21 and Romania - 19. As usually we had again delegates from mediterranian Africa. this year, we had 90 female participants and 31 male participants.

Few years ago we were proud, when Prof. Richard Hughes called the Spring School for Young Neurologists one of the brightest stars on the sky of the EFNS. Also in 2014 Magda Dohnalová has given all the preparatory agenda maximal solicitude. It has brought final satisfaction of our 125 participants.

EAN Spring School 2020 – Virtual – Webcasts
November 20, 2020Due to the health situation all over Europe, EAN had to cancel the in-person Spring School 2020, but thanks to a very enthusiastic faculty, we were able to hold this course almost with the entire programme as a virtual school. -
Exposed to a distinctive landscape of mountains and sea and hidden by the “Mediterranean Maquis”, the EAN Autumn School took place in Loutraki, Greece from 17 to 20 October.

In May, we celebrated together the 20th Anniversary Course with 120 young neurologists from more than 34 countries.

In November 2018, the first EAN Autumn School took place in Loutraki, Greece. A remote destination not too far from Athens airport was chosen to gather 60 Neurologists in Training and 9 faculty members.

The European Academy of Neurology held the traditional educational 4-day course in May – the EAN Spring School.

Giants Causeway Northern Ireland The earliest place of medical training in Britain was in 1123 at St Bartholomew's Hospital and the first formal medical school was Edinburgh University in 1726. Currently, we have 33 medical schools: 25 in England, five in Scotland, two in Wales and one in Northern Ireland. There are currently 6,000 medical students who graduate each year, which will rise to 7,500 by 2025.
