After a successful debut in Helsinki, the Public Brain Health Day is making its anticipated return at the 12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday, 29 June. This second edition promises an inspiring day of knowledge-sharing, practical guidance, and community engagement, uniting patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, educators, and brain-health enthusiasts under one roof.
Created to raise public awareness and provide actionable insights into brain health, the initiative bridges the gap between medical expertise and the wider community. Attendees will explore prevention strategies, early detection, and ways to promote neurological well-being, fostering dialogue and collaboration across generations and professions.
This year, the Public Brain Health Day shines a spotlight on three critical topics: headaches, sleep, and epilepsy. Participants will gain insight into the neurological underpinnings of these conditions, learn practical management strategies, and discover ways to support brain health in everyday life. The event offers a dynamic programme of expert-led panel discussions, live demonstrations, and interactive sessions, providing both knowledge and actionable guidance. The sessions will feature contributions from experts in the field, including:
- Caroline Pot, President , Swiss Neurological Society
- Elena Ruiz de la Torre, Executive Director, European Migraine and Headache Alliance
- Patricia Pozo-Rosich, President-Elect, International Headache Society
- Claudio Bassetti, Chair, Swiss Brain Health Plan
- Margitta Seeck, Board Member, Swiss Epilepsy League
- Neerja Chowdhary, Technical Officer, World Health Organisation, Department of Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health, Neurological, Sensory and Oral Conditions Unit
The Public Brain Health Day will be in English and French, with live simultaneous translation, and accessible via livestream.
