With the 12th EAN congress happening in Geneva this year, we think it is a good time to also think about the past and our great officers and speakers who have provided large amounts of content for EAN Activities throughout the last years.
By writing these lines, we are happy to announce that the EAN Archive has two new sub-sections to keep up with the aim of displaying and honouring those who were actively involved in the EAN.
Scientific and Coordinating Panels
While the panels are the scientific backbone of the EAN and almost all our activities, it is clear that this is not just the work of the two panel co-chairs but the entire panel management group and all individual and institutional members, but we simply cannot display all the 2000+ persons who have done this great work in the past years.
On the new sub-page we are nevertheless able to showcase the panel-co-chairs, and the slight changes in new panels and our new coordinating panels that have developed since the EAN was established.
Challenges for Women in Neurology
This networking lunch session was introduced at the first EAN congress in Berlin in 2015, to give leading ladies in neurology the stage to inform interested women and men alike about their journey while pursuing their neurology career, the challenges they were and are facing, and possible opportunities for future generations.
To see the 2026 session outline, please visit our congress website for Geneva 2026: Managing challenges for women in neurology – ean.org
We like to showcase and keep our readers and future neurologists informed about activities and volunteers that had a huge impact on our activities but are no longer visible on our main EAN website.
With these new chapters we believe also to follow the intentions of the pioneers Klaus V Toyka and Chrisitan Krarup (the former Archivists): to keep this archive as a steady source of information.
We shall keep an open eye on future endeavours to be archived here – and we are open to suggestions from EAN members!
With kind wishes
