Our research paper of the month is a meta-analysis investigating the influence of intraventricular fibrinolysis on functional outcomes in patients with intracerebral haemorrhage.

Our authors of the month conducted this study in which COVID-19 patients with neurological symptoms and cognitive impairments, underwent DMI in the subacute stage of the disease.

The EAN Scientific Panel on Palliative Care has been considering the collaboration between neurology and palliative care, particular in the care of people with progressive neurological disease.

One of the goals of the EAN Guideline Production Group (GPG) is to educate EAN members on the process of guideline development. This year, one day prior to the EAN Congress 2022, we held a workshop on guidelines, aiming to familiarise clinicians with the methodology behind guidelines.

Migraine—with and without aura—is one of the most common neurological disorders, affecting millions worldwide. In the past few years, several new studies have been finished and we have got a better insight into the pathophysiology of migraine.

The mentorship workshop held during the annual EAN congress on Sunday 26 June was a great success. It was chaired by EAN Mentorship Task force members Francesca Morgante and Matthieu Perrenoud.

This EAN 2022 symposium on New evidence to tackle major health issues in stroke was organised in cooperation with the European Stroke Organisation.

A Regional Teaching Course organised by the EAN and the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust took place in Liverpool, UK on 24-26 April, 2022.
