The RRFS EAN TV Session on Clinical Decision Making in the Age of AI, moderated by Conny Lee and me, Alicia Gonzalez-Martinez, explored how AI is transforming neurology. Georg Starke addressed the regulatory landscape and the challenges of safely integrating AI into clinical practice. Marina Picillo highlighted AI’s role in education, emphasizing the need to balance the risk of deskilling through overreliance on AI with opportunities for outskilling by strengthening uniquely human competencies such as clinical judgment, ethical reasoning, communication, creativity, and adaptability. The session concluded with a discussion on introducing AI early in medical education and its responsible implementation across neurological practice.
