This summer, the eanCampus put the spotlight on focused, high-impact learning, rolling out eight new Spotlight Modules between 1 July and 31 August. Each module combined a curated set of eanCampus resources around a single neurological subject, pairing recordings from previous EAN webinars and congresses with interactive cases and a short quiz to consolidate what learners had studied.
Facts and Figures
Engagement with the Spotlight Modules was the strongest eanCampus has seen for a summer programme, with completions rising sharply compared to previous years and continuing a steady upward trend since the format was introduced.
Most impressively, 29 learners completed all eight Spotlight Modules, earning the digital Summer Spotlights badge for their eanCampus profile and an entry into the prize draw for free registration for the EAN Congress 2027 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Most Popular Spotlights
Biomarker-based Diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease was the most completed module of the summer, closely followed by Targeted Treatments in Rare Epilepsies and Bacterial, Mycobacterial, Fungal and Malarial Neuro-infections. Rounding out the top eight were Management of First Seizure, Neuroimaging in Parkinson’s Disease, Prodromal Parkinson’s Disease, Hyperacute Ischaemic Stroke: From Recognition to Reperfusion, and Anti-Amyloid Therapies for Alzheimer’s Disease — a spread that reflects just how broadly learners engaged across the full programme, from movement disorders to stroke and dementia.
Who Took Part
Residents and physicians in training made up the largest share of participants, closely followed by practising neurologists. Undergraduate medical students, PhD students in neurology, and research fellows in neurology rounded out the group, alongside a smaller number of learners in other professions.
Learners took part from all over the world, with Türkiye, Italy, and Germany leading the way, followed closely by Portugal, Romania, and Spain. Ukraine and the United Kingdom tied for seventh place, while Poland and Switzerland rounded out the top ten.
Learning Doesn’t Stop Here
The Summer Spotlights Challenge may be over, but the eanCampus catalogue keeps growing! All Spotlights, as well as Interactive Cases, Clinical Skills Modules, and Congress and Webinar recordings remain available year-round, supporting neurologists at every career stage in the pursuit of lifelong learning.
