The EAN is now inviting applications from national neurological societies to co-host the EAN Congress 2029 in Vienna
NATIONAL SOCIETIES CO-HOSTING EAN CONGRESS
Following the launch of the EAN Congress co-hosting initiative last year, the EAN is delighted to open the call for applications to co-host the EAN Congress 2029 taking place in Vienna, Austria, 23-26 June 2029, alongside the Austrian Society of Neurology.
Who can apply? National neurological societies who are Full Institutional Members of the EAN are invited to apply to co-host the EAN Congress 2029. Applications are welcome from individual societies, as well as joint applications from groups of up to three societies.
Why should you apply? This initiative enables societies from across Europe to contribute to the scientific and organisational development of the congress, regardless of where it is held. The aim is to broaden participation, strengthen collaboration across borders, increase the visibility of the national neurological communities, and better reflect our European diversity.
How does it work? Selected co-hosting societies nominate representatives to the Congress Co-Organising Committee and can contribute to the development of the congress programme through designated observers in the Programme Committee. Full details and the application form are available here.
Following last year’s call for applications to co-host the EAN Congress 2028 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, a joint application from the Czech, Polish and Slovak neurological societies was approved. We are delighted that these three societies will therefore act as the first co-hosts of an EAN Congress, alongside the Netherlands Society of Neurology in two years’ time.
We look forward to receiving your applications to co-host in 2029!
Best wishes
Jana Midelfart-Hoff
EAN Secretary General
