The EU-funded European Brain Research Area project today releases its long-awaited European Research Inventory and Mapping Report.

Our authors of the month conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis in order to summarise the frequency of neurologic manifestations in patients with COVID-19 and to investigate the association of these manifestations with disease severity and mortality.

Our research paper of the month is an open-label, single-arm, phase II futility trial exploring the safety and the effect of treatment with the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine on disability worsening in patients with primary progressive multiple sclerosis.

Our authors of the month conducted a randomised, placebo-controlled, observer-blinded, multinational study to assess the safety, efficacy and immunogenicity of the BNT162b2 vaccine.

Our research paper of the month is a retrospective cohort study, aiming to investigate the association between field position, professional career length and playing era and increased risk of neurodegenerative disease among male former professional soccer players.

The aim of this study was to describe neurological and psychiatric complications of infection with SARS CoV 2 in children and adolescents and determine the prevalence of such manifestations in hospitalised patients under 18 years-old.
