Brain Awareness Week, organised by the Dana Foundation, is a global campaign dedicated to celebrating the wonders of the brain and the importance of brain science. Each March, organizations and individuals around the world host creative activities to engage the public and highlight how brain research improves our daily lives. Event organizers are universities, hospitals, research centres, schools, advocacy groups that help raise public awareness about brain health and empower communities with knowledge to make informed health choices.

As part of Brain Awareness Week 2026, the Brain Health Mission, along with key strategic partners, the European Academy of Neurology, the European Brain Council, and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, as well as the support of MEP Angelika Winzig are organising a full day of events in Brussels highlighting the brain entitled Brain Health Day: Prevention, Policy, Progress.

The Brain Health Day  2026 features three events aimed at advancing both policy and practice to improve brain health outcomes:

Public Brain Health Day — EAN Congress Geneva 2026

The Public Brain Health Day is an open event dedicated to raising awareness and fostering discussions on brain health, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds, including patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public. The event features expert-led sessions on brain health topics, practical sessions, and networking opportunities, with a focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological conditions, aiming to promote collaboration, share knowledge, and highlight the importance of brain health for overall well-being.
