There is evidence that oxidative stress induced by free radicals is a key factor of progression in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). -

It was a pleasure for me to represent the EAN at the 1st EBM meeting in held in Paris (La Salpétrière Hospital) on May 23, 2017. The objective of the EBM project is to preserve and to promote collections of archives related to the History of the various disciplines concerned by brain science (not only neurology, but mostly).

Residents and research fellows discover the VUmc This year’s annual hospital visit on Sunday 25th of June 2017 brought 80 residents and research fellows from all over the world to the impressive VU University Medical Center Amsterdam (VUmc) located in the southwestern part of Amsterdam, close to the campus of VU University. The RRFS hospital visit was organised in collaboration with the Dutch Junior Neurology Association. -

The special session of the Residents and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) took place on Sunday 25.06.2017 during the EAN congress 2017 in Amsterdam. This year the special session was held in a novel format with the aim to create a more informal environment between juniors and senior researchers and clinicians.
