The 18th course of the Spring School attracted attention of 187 colleagues from 36 countries. Due to the capacity reasons we were forced to refuse one third of the applicants. Traditionally the highest interest was from Russia – 29, Uzbekistan - 21 and Romania - 19. As usually we had again delegates from mediterranian Africa. this year, we had 90 female participants and 31 male participants.

Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is a vector transmitted viral infections of the central nervous system, with an increasing health burden in Europe. The occurrence of TBE shows a tendency for prolongation of a season and extension to new geographic areas – to North and South Europe, and also in higher altitudes. The total number of TBE cases has shown an increase during recent decades, that might be associated with an occupational exposure, growing migration and travel, and outdoor leisure activities.

Can you please explain what the PNS stands for and what its objectives and aims are to the readers of the EANpages? Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a relatively frequent complication of antipsychotic treatment. TD can be observed in any part of the body, can be very disabling, and often persists even after stopping the causative medication.
