The third edition of the Advocacy Training Programme for Neurology and Brain Health has concluded, marking another successful year of strengthening advocacy skills within the neurology community.
Delivered between March and June 2026, the programme brought together 50 selected participants from 24 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Through four interactive online modules participants developed practical competencies in advocacy, strategic communication, policy engagement, leadership, and collaboration with patient communities.
The 2026 edition combined expert-led lectures with workshops, peer exchange, and hands on advocacy exercises designed to support real-world implementation. Faculty represented leading organisations including the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Bureau for Epilepsy, the American Academy of Neurology, the European Federation of Neurological Associations, the Women’s Brain Foundation, the European Parliament, and the European Reference Network for Rare Neurological Diseases.
Beyond the educational experience, the programme continues to contribute to the development of a growing international network of Brain Health Ambassadors committed to advancing brain health awareness, policy, and patient-centred care. Following the conclusion of the 2026 edition, a total of 123 participants from across all three editions of the programme have graduated as Brain Health Ambassadors, reflecting the programme’s expanding international reach and long-term commitment to strengthening advocacy for neurology and brain health worldwide.
“Empowering, inspiring, and motivating – a fantastic experience that I highly recommend. A perfect mix of interaction, networking, and inspiring talks. Take part and become an ambassador, because together we can advance brain health!” – Laure Pauly, Brain Health Ambassador Class 3
