The EAN is happy to announce a new grant within the framework of the EAN Clinical Fellowship programme. From 2027 onwards, one grant with a duration of nine weeks will be provided to an applicant from a low, lower-middle or upper-middle income country.
This is made possible by an endowed fellowship, kindly given by Prof. Abhijit Chaudhuri, FEAN, and his family – in recognition of their parents Subrata and Sipra Chaudhuri – with the goal of strengthening inclusivity and diversity in neurological care.
The grant recipient will be selected from among the eligible applications during the regular review process for EAN Clinical Fellowships.
The EAN would like to thank the Chaudhuri family for supporting this programme and contributing to the creation of valuable educational opportunities for early-career neurologists.
Please note the eligibility criteria for the EAN Clinical Fellowship:
- Minimum 2 years of clinical (residency) training in neurology at the time of the fellowship
- EAN RRFS members working in EAN Full Institutional Member countries, Corresponding Institutional Member countries or low and lower-middle income countries from sub-Saharan Africa
- EAN Full members working in EAN Full Institutional Member / Corresponding Institutional Member countries, up to a maximum of 5 years after their latest degree in neurology, applying for this special programme to learn a new application or technique not available in their home department
- Be fluent in English or in the local language of the hosting country
- Have been accepted by an approved host department (see list at the bottom of the Clinical Fellowship website)
