Welcome to the June 2026 edition of the President’s Corner, our eanNews series, in which I answer your questions about the EAN and its various initiatives.
This is my last month as EAN President and, therefore, this will be my final contribution to the President’s Corner, which I had the privilege of starting under my mandate. It has been a pleasure engaging with you, eanNews readers, and answering your many interesting and varied questions for the last 18 months.
Please see my answers to this month’s questions below.
I encourage you to continue submitting your questions for the next president, Kailash Bhatia, to answer in the future – I am eagerly anticipating reading his answers!
If you have a question for Prof. Bhatia as he embarks on this new and exciting role, please feel free to reach out anytime via email, or look out for our upcoming posts inviting submissions.
Best wishes,
Elena Moro, EAN President
I am going to miss the congress this year – is there a chance to watch recordings of sessions?
We will also miss your presence in Geneva but a huge amount of this year’s congress will be recorded, and available to watch at EAN 2026 | Home.
As long as you are registered for virtual participation, you will be able to watch recordings of hundreds of sessions for two weeks after the event (until 14 July). If you are an EAN individual member (Fellow of EAN, Full, Corresponding, Resident & Research, or Student) you will be able to keep watching and re-watching until next year! And the good news is that virtual participation is free for most membership categories and very affordable for the rest: Registration – ean.org.
Please note that some sessions are exclusive to onsite participants. You can see which session types are hybrid (and therefore also accessible to virtual participants) – at Session Descriptions – ean.org
So, even though I am very sorry to hear that you cannot join us in Geneva, I’m delighted to say you will still be able to be a part of it! I also hope to see you in Gothenburg in June 2027!
How can I, as an EAN member, support the Public Brain Health Day?
First, if you are attending the congress onsite in Geneva, make sure you come along to Room Alpha/Beta on Monday at 17:00, and bring your colleagues with you. This is a great opportunity to hear a variety of perspectives on brain health, connect with others afterwards, and take part in discussions on this year’s key topics: headaches, sleep, and epilepsy.
If you are not with us onsite, you will still be able to follow the event online via the livestream on the event’s webpage.
We would also love to hear your feedback afterwards! As an EAN member, your views on initiatives such as the Public Brain Health Day are hugely valuable and help us continue to improve future events and activities.
