EAN aims to build a reading list of high-quality and up-to-date reviews on core neurology curriculum areas for registrars across Europe. The objective of the “Clinical Fellowship Programme” is to provide a well-defined clinical observational experience in a department with recognised expertise in a specific field. With this programme, neurologists that are still in the process of training, or recently qualified and setting up a new service/practice can learn from observing the usual practice in that department, including any or all of clinical practice, service structures or specific techniques conducted in the Hosting Department for a duration of 6 weeks.

Dedicated to 120 clinical neurologists in training who did not yet complete their residency/ clinical speciality training who wish to boost their knowledge and to get the chance to enable personal contacts among participants and faculty members. Contributions to the optimal organisation of neurological care, neurological services and postgraduate education throughout Europe will be presented.

The two European Reference Networks (ERNs) for Rare Neurological Diseases and Rare Neuromuscular Diseases (ERN-RND and ERN-EuroNMD) are launching a new joint educational program in collaboration with the European Academy of Neurology.

The 11th Regional Teaching Course (RTC) in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) took place in Accra, Ghana. Dr. A. Charway Felli, President-elect of AFAN hosted the RTC held at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Application for 2020 is open from 1 August until 31 October 2019

The purpose is to support training and experience for European Neurologists in any area of basic or clinical or applied research in neuroscience. The research work must be carried out at a European academic neurological department outside the country of residence. All applications should demonstrate experience/training of clear value to the home department/individual beyond that available in their own countries/institutions.
