Publication on the roles of the medical profession and the industry on CME The BioMedical Alliance is a unique organisation representing 30 leading European medical societies (including EAN) that together represent more than 400,000 researchers and health professionals.

June 2019 marks the fifth year since the foundation of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) with the purpose of promoting excellence across the region.

For June 2019, we have selected a scientific paper: Moreno-Jimenez, Garcia, Roncal et al. Adult hippocampal neurogenesis is abundant in neurologically healthy subjects and drops sharply in patients with Alzheimer’s disease Nature Medicine 2019; 25: 554–560.

Israel is located on the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and the northern shore of the Red Sea. With a population of 8.7 million inhabitants, it is a liberal democracy with a parliamentary system, proportional representation, and universal suffrage. The population is highly diverse including Israeli Jews (75% of population) of varied ethnicity, Israeli Arabs (~21% of population), and a spectrum of religiosity (secular, orthodox, and Haredi- ultra-orthodox).

The second joint-workshop of the European Academy of Neurology - Resident and Research Fellow Section (EAN-RRFS) national representatives network was held in collaboration with the Italian association of young neurologists on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2019 in Rome, Italy.
