With so few chances for EAN staff and members to meet in person, we decided to introduce the team behind the scenes. This time it's Florian, our Congress Manager, and Helene, from the Education Department.

EAN President, Claudio Bassetti gives some deep insights into the EAN's recent advocacy activity and plans for the future.

EAN Secretary General, Elena Moro, provides an update on membership-related issues, including a range of new benefits for EAN members.

Launched during the virtual congress in June 2021, EAN would like to foster interest and connection to the very early career medical students who are still considering whether they want to proceed into the field of neurology, or to those who have already found their way to neurology but are still a bit unsure to which sub-specialty their journey might lead them.

On 21 June 2021, the virtual general assembly of the EAN’s Resident and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) took place during the 7th annual congress. The assembly received broad participation from RRFS members who were interested in gaining insight into the annual report as well as the new Treasurer elections.

I am happy to be writing to you today about our EAN 2021 Virtual Congress, which was a great positive in what continues to be a challenging time.
