It was not the first time that the regional teaching course was hosted in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The collaboration between EAN and associate prof. Elena Lebedeva from The Urals State Medical University was so fruitful that over 300 junior neurologists and residents had the opportunity to join the course.

After 14 years, the EAN Regional Teaching Course took place in Georgia again, but not in the capital of Tbilisi, but a 4-hour drive away, in the 2nd largest town, Kutaisi, which is an old University town and the administrative and cultural Capital of the western part of Georgia.

Georgia (Georgian: საქართველო, Sakartvelo) is a country located at the intersection of Eastern Europe and West Asia, and generally considered to be part of the European continent. To the west it is bordered by the Black Sea, to the north and northeast by Russia, to the south by Turkey and Armenia, and by Azerbaijan to the southeast.
