Application is now open for the fourth edition of the EAN Advocacy Training Programme for Neurology and Brain Health, which equips neurologists with the skills, confidence and connections to make their expertise heard.
Running online from March to June 2027, the programme will bring together up to 55 participants from across Europe and beyond to learn from expert presentations, practical workshops, group discussions and peers.
Four modules. One shared mission.
Each module explores advocacy from a different perspective, while contributing to one shared goal: making brain health a greater public and policy priority. Participants will strengthen their understanding of effective advocacy, learn to communicate scientific evidence with clarity and impact, develop strategies for engaging stakeholders, and explore how collaboration with patient communities can support more inclusive and patient-centred advocacy.
During this edition, participants will hear from experts representing the European Academy of Neurology, the World Federation of Neurology, the European Brain Council, Euractiv, the European Federation of Neurological Associations and the International Bureau for Epilepsy, alongside specialists in strategic communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
More than a series of online lectures, the programme is designed to encourage participation and practical application. Through workshops, real-world exercises and group discussions, participants will test their ideas, learn from their peers and consider how new approaches can be adapted to their own professional and national contexts.
The experience continues beyond the four modules. Participants will connect with current and former programme participants through an online networking event and, as a new addition to the programme, an in-person Brain Health Ambassador Meeting at the EAN Congress 2027 in Gothenburg from 12 to 15 June. Together, these opportunities will allow participants to exchange experiences, share good practices and build collaborations across countries.
Those who successfully complete the programme will be certified as Brain Health Ambassadors and join the EAN’s growing international community of neurologists committed to turning knowledge into action for brain health.
