The EAN-Day in Greece took place on 2 June, 2021, organised under the auspices of the EAN, the Hellenic Neurological Society and Professor Nikolaos Grigoriadis, the Head of the Hellenic Neurological Society.

This year has so far been a busy one for everyone involved in education at EAN, with plenty of exciting new projects joining the traditional fixtures in our education calendar. Our research paper of the month is a pooled retrospective non-randomised cohort study, evaluating the functional and safety outcomes of direct to angiography (DTA) treatment paradigm vs repeated imagingin the different treatment windows and on-call hours vs regular hours in patients undergoing thrombectomy.

On 15 May, 2021, the Virtual EAN-Day in Armenia took place, with more than 150 local medical professionals participating in the online event, including neurologists, residents, family doctors, rehabilitation specialists.

The EAN Scientific Panel on Stroke is delighted to announce that a joint session with the European Stroke Organisation will take place at the ESOC 2021, on 1-3 September, 2021.

Following the cancellation of last year's 12th Board Examination due to Covid-19, we held our 13th Examination online for the very first time.

On 21 June 2021, the virtual general assembly of the EAN’s Resident and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) took place during the 7th annual congress. The assembly received broad participation from RRFS members who were interested in gaining insight into the annual report as well as the new Treasurer elections.

A regional teaching course organised by the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) and the All-Russian Society of Neurologists took place online on April 15-17, 2021 on the digital platform of Sechenov University of Moscow, Russia
