The European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA), together with European Brain Council (EBC) and European Academy of Neurology (EAN), has sent an open letter to EU leaders, making a strong case for increased prioritisation of neurological/brain health in EU policies and calling for concrete measures to be undertaken to counteract the increasing burden of brain disorders.

To celebrate World Brain Day (July 22nd), the European Federation of Neurological Associations [EFNA] co-hosted events in four European capitals – Brussels, Bucharest, Dublin and Warsaw!

During 2018 EFNA continued to build on some of their ongoing projects – such as the MEP Interest Group on Brain, Mind and Pain and the Training Initiatives for Neurology Advocates.

The #BrainLifeGoals campaign is an initiative of the European Federation of Neurological Associations that aims to raise awareness of the impact of neurological disorders.

EFNA goes global and attends the WHA – World Health Assembly UN Geneva Headquarters from May 20 – 28 2019. Diseases know no borders. Only by truly pooling our resources and going beyond our individual disease areas, our constituencies and countries, do we stand a chance of adequately addressing the challenges of ill-health and inequalities.

We hear from the European Federation of Neurological Associations – EFNA on the special sessions being organised at the upcoming 5th EAN Congress taking place in Oslo, Norway (June 29 – July2, 2019).

The Brain, Mind and Pain (BMP) initiative has today launched its Book of Evidence for the 2019-2024 European Parliament term.

Sharing #LifeGoals has become a popular trend on social media. A campaign from the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) is putting a new spin on the trend by instead seeing patient advocates and supporters share their #BrainLifeGoals.

Fighting Discrimination at Work was the theme for the latest meeting of EFNA’s MEP Interest Group on Brain Mind and Pain, which took place in the European Parliament on March 6th. It was opened by Dutch MEP, Jeroen Lenaers who reminded participants that the EC President, Jean-Claude Junker, said that Europe should not just have a financial AAA rank, but also a social one.

Sharing #LifeGoals has become a popular social media trend. This campaign will put a new spin on the #LifeGoals trend by seeing people instead sharing #BrainLifeGoals.

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR NEUROLOGY ADVOCACY WORKSHOP: Linking Global, European and National Policy Priorities.

The award was introduced by Dystonia Europe in 2003 and is presented every two years to stimulate research on dystonia, especially by young scientists in Europe.

EFNA is focusing attention on young neurology patients during 2018. Their goal is to create a programme that assists young people in becoming advocates for their own disease areas.
